The Ontario City Library has an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated Senior Librarian to coordinate and lead efforts for learning services to youth. The Senior librarian plans and hosts programming and participates in collection development, outreach, and reference services for patrons. They also serve as a part of the supervisory team, with supervision responsibilities of paraprofessional staff. The Senior Librarian would take an integral part in establishing a new initiative to increase literacy skills for youth in Ontario through the creation of new programs and partnerships.
 
The ideal candidate takes initiative, is highly organized, enjoys establishing community connections and partnerships, has excellent communication and writing skills, possesses leadership skills, and follows and anticipates current library trends. They will establish and maintain good relationships with other library units, city agencies, school districts, and community groups.
